About This Game Splitgate: Arena Warfare is a fast-paced multiplayer shooter that uses player-controlled portals to create a new dimension of arena combat.Evoking memories of the most revered shooters of the past two decades, Splitgate: Arena Warfare embraces the classic and familiar feel of close-quarters combat while adding a multi-directional twist that adds a never-before-seen spatial wrinkle to the arena shooter setting. Battle against up to 10 friends in online multiplayer or refine your skills versus formidable AI.Splitgate: Arena Warfare is designed to be equally accessible to first-time and veteran FPS players, with an infinitely high skill cap that will take players hundreds of hours to refine and master. Splitgate is built in Unreal Engine 4 by 1047 Games, a passionate group of Halo fans, whose experience and love for the genre transcends the typical development team.Fly. Flank. Frag.Constant movement is encouraged and rewarded as players strategically place portals to FLY, FLANK and FRAG through the air to create incredible, previously-impossible highlights.1-50 Ranking System Instead of a complicated and convoluted matchmaking system,Splitgate: Arena Warfare uses a simple, intuitive 1-50 ranking system determined purely on player wins and losses, cutting down on in-game griefing while providing little incentive for player boosting.Equal Playing FieldPlayers start each match with the same loadout, eliminating any unfair advantages from the start. Power weapons spawn on a timer across the map, and players are encouraged to use these powerful weapons to achieve montage-worthy killstreaks.Easy to Learn, Difficult to MasterStandard FPS controls and intuitive portal mechanics mean beginners are up and running right off the bat. However, players must constantly evolve strategies and their ability to think with portals in order to outsmart one another. The skill cap is unlimited. 7aa9394dea Title: Splitgate: Arena WarfareGenre: Action, Free to PlayDeveloper:1047 GamesPublisher:1047 GamesRelease Date: 24 May, 2019 Download Splitgate: Arena Warfare .exe splitgate arena warfare xbox release date. splitgate arena warfare download. splitgate arena warfare release date. splitgate arena warfare gameplay. splitgate arena warfare release date ps4. splitgate arena warfare beta times. splitgate arena warfare for beta testing. splitgate arena warfare cost. splitgate arena warfare key. splitgate arena warfare size. splitgate arena warfare maps. splitgate arena warfare coming to ps4. splitgate arena warfare open beta. splitgate arena warfare console. splitgate arena warfare. splitgate arena warfare release date xbox. splitgate arena warfare xbox. splitgate arena warfare reddit. splitgate arena warfare closed beta. splitgate arena warfare for xbox. splitgate arena warfare discord. splitgate arena warfare steam stats. splitgate arena warfare sensitivity. splitgate arena warfare early access. splitgate arena warfare xbox one release date. splitgate arena warfare twitter. splitgate arena warfare beta. splitgate arena warfare release. splitgate arena warfare free. splitgate arena warfare ps4. splitgate arena warfare game modes. splitgate arena warfare pc requirements. splitgate arena warfare steamdb. splitgate arena warfare player count. splitgate arena warfare ranks. splitgate arena warfare beta key. splitgate arena warfare servers. splitgate arena warfare beta dates. splitgate arena warfare montage. splitgate arena warfare alpha. splitgate arena warfare trailer. splitgate arena warfare cross platform. splitgate arena warfare shroud. splitgate arena warfare ign (This review only discusses gameplay as of 5\/26\/19)Cons\/Necessary improvements-Portals should be larger, rather than feeling like you are trying to place thread through a needle when falling or jumping into them. I witnessed other players as well as myself constantly clipping and getting stuck on portal edges.-Gravity should be increased, with less fuel or no jetpacks at all. Players should rely on momentum from portals for vertical travel, and falling takes far too long. Jetpacks make using portals creatively pointless, unless you are covering a very large distance.-Damage on pulse\/energy rifle should be increased greatly, what is the point of a power weapon if it's worse than your starting weapons?-Time to kill is obnoxiously high, and encourages 2v1 fights only, as well as a constant stream of stolen kills. Halo's shield mechanic exists to tell a player whether or not they will win a fight, and if they should engage in one. Without shields or any way to tell an enemy's health, engaging fights alone is usually punished by almost finishing a kill only to have it swept up. This would not be as much of an issue if the health was not as high, or if it were separated by some type of shield that you could visibly see break.-Grenades need some amount of damage. Although they have great utility for closing portals, this is not nearly as useful as zoning an objective with a grenade that will actually do damage.-Assault\/starting rifle needs more damage if the health is going to remain the same. At this point in time the only viable starting weapon past very close range is the pistol, as the damage and spread of the assault rifle is pitiful at mid to long range.Pros\/Great things!-Not being able to see clearly through other player's portals, as well as the visual ques telling you whether or not a portal is open are simply genius. They lower confusion greatly while also giving critical information, as well as giving peeker's advantage to the player's personal portals.-Being able to close portals is extremely useful and something that could have been overseen, also genius.-The time to kill on the battle rifle, pistol and sniper are perfect in my opinion.-The shotgun's insta-kill range is chosen well.-The rocket-launcher seems unfair at first but has very little splash and requires some accuracy in a very good sense.-Not being able to place portals anywhere seems cheap at first, but makes more sense as you play and understand the design of the maps. On that note, most of the maps are designed extremely well, and playing around with portals on each map will still give me hours of exploration and discovery!Final Note: All of the changes stated are not fundamental changes, but just adjustments, great or small. This is a great sign on 1047's side as it shows that although there are many frustrating gameplay issues, the game is not only still playable but fun. If this is read by anyone, please feel free to give your input. Thank you.. Exactly what I hoped it would be, having so much fun!. This game is incredible. I really don't understand all the negative reviews. Either these people don't know how to use the portals, or they don't know how to play arena shooters. The devs have been quick, and engaged. The community is great. It's basically Halo + Portal, and I love it There's still a lot that could improve, but they already patched out my biggest complaints in like 4 days, so I have high hopes for what's to come.. No risk\/high reward for consumers considering that the game is free. If you love Halo style combat, then you'll appreciate the feel of the game. Gun play is fantastic, portal implementation is well thought out. Designated walls for casting portals helps mitigate would could potentially be a messy feature. Love the Halo elements they've adopted all around. Considering the fact that this is a launch day review, I'd say the game has been delivered in exceptional fashion. As long as the Dev's continue to improve this title, I can see it continually rising in popularity!8.5\/10. This game is one of the freshest FPS I have ever played. The portals are done so well and really do give a fresh take on the arena shooter genre. Not only that, but the gun play really does bring you back to the golden days. I played the beta for like 10 hours and plan on playing this game a lot. The map design is superb and playing the game really is a breath of fresh air in our over-saturated battle royale fps market we are in. Would highly recommend!
